Cisco Warns about Brute-Force VPN and SSH Attacks

The attacks include Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, web application authentication interfaces and SSH services since at least March 18, 2024. Services that are affected are: Cisco Secure Firewall VPN, Checkpoint VPN, Fortinet VPN, SonicWall VPN and others. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized network access, account lockouts, or denial-of-service (DoS). The malicious activity is not targeted at specific industries or regions.
