Europcar Says 50 Million Users Data Breach is False

Car rental company Europcar refutes claims and says someone likely used ChatGPT to promote a fake data breach. The shared customer data, for sale by a threat actor, appears to be fake. The alleged sale, posted on a hacking forum, included details of 48,606,700 Europcar.com customers. However, Europcar points out inconsistencies, such as mismatched email addresses and nonexistent addresses in the provided samples, indicating the data's inauthenticity.
